The Advising Center Welcomes You
Mrs. Nancy Arroyo-Sadlowski is at the hub of all Advising Center activities. She handles all appointments and phone calls ably in Spanish and English and often in other languages. Her pet peeve is transferred phone calls. Do not get frustrated if she asks a lot of questions. She prides herself on getting you to the right person for your situation.  Mrs. Sadlowski also manages budgets, travel, student employees and much of the detail work for incoming student advising.
 
Elizabeth Hungerford Hicks Mrs. Elizabeth (Liz) Hicks, Interim Director, has worked for Central Connecticut State University for 29 years. She worked in Career Services as Associate Director until the Advising Center was created. She is familiar with vocational assessments and graduate school selection and application. She enjoys collaborating with the First Year Experience Program and helping faculty to integrate career information into their curricula.

Mrs. Janice Reska, Assistant Director, joined Central as coordinator for computer science and MIS majors with The Cooperative Education Program. Her MBA in Finance has led to occasional adjunct teaching assignments in our school of business. Before joining the advising staff, Mrs. Reska worked with the Educational Support Services office developing and implementing an outward bound program.

Jan enjoys teaching the Career Development class for undecided majors, ED 201. Her eclectic background also includes work as a professional musician and special education teacher.

Mr. Montez Johnson has over 15 years of professional experience as an Academic Advisor at CCSU.  Montez earned his M.S. degree in Higher Education and Student Development.  His undergraduate Degree in (Interpersonal) Communication led him to serve as an adjunct professor in the Communication Department.  Montez enjoys his role as a mentor and advisor to numerous student clubs and organizations on campus.  He is a proud Husband and new father with 3 children.

Justine Gamache is the newest member of the Advising Center staff where she enjoys advising students throughout the academic year as well as providing technical support to the department. Justine earned both her B.S.ed and M.S. at CCSU.
