CCSU Celebrates the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) December 2009 Planets, Planets Everywhere!

December is the birth month of Johannes Kepler (27) and Isaac Newton (December 25), two men who forever changed our knowledge of how the planets move. We will celebrate their birthdays by exploring the search for planets outside of our solar system.

All observing events are weather-permitting only. Planetarium shows and public talks are held rain or shine.
Astronomy Academy: This is a year-long series of hands-on workshops geared for children grades 3-7. Some events may repeat, so read the titles carefully. All Academy workshops are by RSVP only and are limited to 24 children. Please call to cancel 24 hours before if you cannot honor your RSVP so we can contact the waiting list. Students who participate in 5 or more Academy events will receive a certificate.
