CCSU participates in the NCAA year-round drug-testing program annually. The NCAA upon receiving the requested rosters selects student-athletes for testing.

Each year, student-athletes sign a consent form demonstrating their understanding of the NCAA drug testing program and their willingness to participate.  This consent statement is required of all student-athletes before participation in intercollegiate competition during the year in question.  Failure to complete and sign the statement annually shall result in the student-athlete’s ineligibility for participation in all intercollegiate competition.

Student-athletes may also be drug tested based on suspicion.   Please refer to the athletic department student’s manual regarding drug-testing policy. Student-athletes are referred to www.drugfreesport.com for a list of currently banned NCAA drugs and supplements.
