Applying Systems Thinking, Information Systems, Operations Research and Management

to Social Problems

 

A half-day workshop, Friday November 19th 2004, 1 to 6 pm

 at Eastern Connecticut State University

This ECSU workshop is designed for researchers and practitioners to share experiences, dilemmas, proposals and current research on the application of Systems Thinking, IT, Operations Research and Management to Complex Societal Problems. Related areas also include Community Operations Research, Community Informatics, Social development, Inter-organizational Relationships & Civil Society Building.

 

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit a one-page abstract describing an application of methods from the above listed areas to complex societal problems. Format: a page in Word, single spaced, Times Roman, 12 pt. font., including the title, authors’ names, affiliation, email and an abstract. Please as an email attachment to petkovd@easternct.edu  by October 23rd 2004. Papers, presentations, proposals, panels are all welcome. There is no registration fee for this event.
