Beginning with an undergraduate education in
physiological psychology/pre-med at the University of
Vermont, Professor MacDonald worked several years in the
paper converting industry as a materials manager and
production scheduler. In 1984 he obtained his MBA degree
and went on to receive his Ph.D. in Finance from
Virginia Tech (1987). He has since worked at the State
University of New York in Albany and a small research
university in upstate New York. He has presented courses
at Sage Colleges (Troy/Albany, NY) and Empire College
through its SUNY by Satellite Program.
