Central Connecticut State University President Jack Miller announced on Friday, December 10, 2010 that the University is receiving its largest gift ever. Carol A. Ammon, a very successful businesswoman and a Central alumna, Class of 1973, is making a generous $8 million contribution to CCSU through the Carol A. Ammon Foundation. Her gift will be used for student scholarships and academic program support.
As a symbol of gratitude, the Board of Trustees of the Connecticut State University has designated the School of Arts & Sciences at Central Connecticut State University the Carol A. Ammon School of Arts & Sciences. A celebration of the school’s renaming will be held in late spring.
