Insurance Requirement:
All participants in the J-1
Exchange Visitor Program are required to maintain adequate insurance
coverage throughout their stay in the U.S. This coverage must meet
the requirements of the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program, as defined at
http://exchanges.state.gov/education/jexchanges/administration.htm#insurance.
Coverage which meets these requirements is available through CCSU at a
cost (See
http://www.bursar.ccsu.edu/). Students who purchase
appropriate coverage in their home country may waive the CCSU insurance
coverage, provided they provide the Center for International Education
with proof that the plan meets or exceeds the J-1 Exchange Visitor
Program insurance requirements.
