Outside the United States

 

  • Submit the appropriate Affidavit of Support along with your admission application - Undergraduate Affidavit of Support or Graduate Affidavit of Support.

  • Your Certificate of Eligibility Form I-20 will be mailed directly to you along with your admission packet.

  • Pay your SEVIS Fee at https://www.fmjfee.com/index.jhtml and print a SEVIS fee receipt for your record. The fee must be paid at least three business days before your appointment at the U.S. Embassy. Your SEVIS ID number (N00XXXXXXXX) is located in the upper right corner of your I-20; CCSU’s SEVIS school code is the last box on page 1, Item #2.

  • Make sure you have a valid passport.

  • Book an appointment at the nearest United States Embassy.

  • Prepare to depart for the U.S. within 30 days of the beginning of your program.

  • Attend the International Student Orientation (Mandatory) upon arrival at CCSU.
