Center for
International
Education Scholarships
The Center for International Education offers scholarships to help
defray the cost of participation in official CCSU Study Abroad programs.
The scholarship application is due with the Study Abroad application, by
April 1 annually. In order to qualify for scholarship consideration,
applicants must be matriculated at CCSU and have a GPA of at least 2.50.
Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and will be in the range
of $500-$1000 semester and not normally
exceed $1,000 per semester abroad.
CCSU Foundation
Scholarship Information
The following scholarships are available to individuals interested in
international education. The application deadline for all
funds is April 1.
Henry Barnard Foundation - The Connecticut State University
System's private development foundation annually offers two $1,000
scholarships to CSU students accepted into campus-based study abroad
programs. Criteria:
CSU undergraduate student in good academic standing;
Acceptance into CSU international study program;
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Center for International Education Scholarship - Established to
provide financial assistant to CCSU students accepted into a CCSU
international study abroad program. Criteria: CCSU undergraduate or
graduate student in good academic standing.
George R. Muirhead Scholarship - Established to assist students participating in academic exchanges in the
United Kingdom. Criteria: CCSU undergraduate or graduate student accepted
into a CCSU Study Abroad program in Scotland or England.
C. J. Huang Scholarship - Established to support faculty and
student exchanges between China and the United States. Criteria:
Candidates must be recommended by the President, the Vice President and
the Director of the Center for International Education.
C.J. Huang Endowment - Established to support the exchange of faculty, students
and staff with Ouyang Yu Experimental Middle School in Hunan Province,
People's Republic of China.
Koh Scholarship Fund - Established to provide financial assistance
to CCSU students of Korean descent or
United States citizens studying abroad in the Republic of Korea.
Criteria: All applicants shall be recommended
for approval by the Koh Scholarship Committee of the
CCSU Foundation, Inc. Nominees must be in good academic standing.Three letters of recommendation are required.
