This Speakers Bureau Grant Program is designed to promote the history of the American Civil War and Connecticut’s involvement in it. The Connecticut Civil War Commemoration Commission (CCWCC), with generous funding from the Connecticut Humanities Council, is providing funding to Connecticut non-profit organizations so that they may hold lectures, symposia, and other forms of educational programming to engage our citizenry about the trying social, political, racial, and military difficulties that tore the nation in two.

The CCWCC has created a comprehensive Speakers Bureau from which Connecticut non-profit organizations may choose speakers who will be funded, in part, by the Grant Program. All Connecticut non-profits interested in taking part in the program must follow the guidelines listed in the Speakers Bureau Grant Request Form.
