Student Wellness Services

Counseling and Wellness Information

Our counseling services encompass a wide range of concerns you may have about your personal wellness or the wellness of another individual. To your left, you will find some resourceful information that will serve as a portal to educating yourself on some of the issues that are brought to our office but by no means all of them.

Resources included in this section of our website do not serve as a diagnostic tool to help, treat or otherwise serve as aid for any type of condition. Rather, it provides some educational information for you to consider. The utilities may help educate you on such things as suicide statistics, debunking common myths about various conditions or simply help you understand yourself better.

We highly recommend that you consult with a professional counselor if you are in any way concerned about your well-being. The informational resources provided are not the only things we counsel for.

We are always willing to lend a listening ear and there is no issue that is "too small to bother". Remember: you may set up an appointment just to talk.

Both full and part-time students are eligible for our free services. We are not here to judge, discriminate, or otherwise minimize any concerns or worries you may have.

We are here for you and we are only a phone call away: (860) 832-1926.

Some of our Self-Assessments may be useful in helping you examine your personal well-being and contact us for professional help if needed. You may print out the results of any self-assessment and bring them to Your First Visit.

If you or someone you know are in any mental or physical emergency, always dial 9-1-1.
The CCSU Campus Police are the primary resource for routine calls on this campus, and can be reached at (860) 832-2375 or at numerous emergency stations across campus.
