Aleisha “Alley” Jenkins is a professional dancer and Dance/Zumba instructor. She started dancing at age 3 when her mother signed her up for dance classes at a local studio and hasn’t stopped since. Over the next 15 years she trained in ballet, Pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern and hip-hop. She moved to Chicago in 2004 to attend Columbia College and became a founding member and co-choreographer of the nationally recognized hip-hop dance crew CODA. During this time she also trained at Monsters of Hip Hop dance conventions where she received scholarships from choreographers to the stars, Marty Kudelka and Lisette Bustamante. After graduating from Columbia College, Alley took a different path than most aspiring dancers and went on to earn her Master’s Degree from European University in Barcelona, Spain. Having come to terms with her undeniable passion for hip-hop dance, she then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a professional dance career. Alley trains at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio with world renown teachers Tricia Miranda, Tony Czar, Anthony Thomas, Kennis and many more. She was recently featured in Britney Spears’ music video for “Till the World Ends” and performed with Beyonce at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.
