Smoking Policy

Current law prohibits smoking except in a designated smoking area. A "smoking area" is a separately designated room which need not be entered in order to conduct business; it must be specifically designated as a smoking area and does not eliminate existing no-smoking lounges or waiting areas. Note that, as of October 1, 1993, no private office of any type on this campus can be used for smoking. The only exception to the prohibition as provided by the new legislation is "private dormitory rooms."
