GPA Calculation and Academic Goal Projection Worksheet WORD VERSION

You must have very accurate information to project your GPA. 

NOTE: Part II is only applicable if students have prior credits; most first-year first-time students do not! 

Part I:  This Semester's Projection

Part II:  Cumulative Projection

1.     List your current courses in column 1.

2.     Write a projection (letter grade) for each class and put it in column 2.

3.     List the number of credits for each course in column 3.

4.     Put the points for each grade in column 4 (see the points chart).

5.     Multiply the points times the credits into column 5 (column 3 X column 4 = column 5)

6.     Add all the credits in column 3 and put the sum next to “Credits =” in line 6.

7.     Add all the Quality Points in line 5 and put the sum next to “Quality Points =” in line 6.

8.     Divide the Quality Points in line 6 by the Credits in line 6.  This is your projected semester GPA.

1.     Fill in your overall attempted hours in the space next to “Credits +” in line 7.

2.     Fill in your overall quality points in the space next to “Quality Points +” in line 7.

3.     Subtotal the amount of credits from line 6 and 7 on line 8.

4.     Subtotal the amount of quality points from line 6 and 7 on line 8.

5.     If you are NOT repeating courses, divide the quality points by credits on line 8 for projected cum GPA.
