  Academic Coaching

Sign up for your own academic coach who will help you meet and exceed your academic goals by focusing on your strengths and enhancing your college learning skills.  Coaches help you get and stay on track for academic success!

  Study Skills Workshops

The Learning Center offers Study Skills Workshops. The workshops cover a range of helpful learning strategies such as GPA calculation and academic goal setting, time management, effective study skills, and exam taking strategies. Feel free to drop in to any workshop. Visit the Learning Center's website at www.ccsu.edu/lc for the workshop schedule.

  Tutoring Lab

Math and Statistics drop in tutoring available. Check our website for day and time availability.  Psychology tutoring is available by appointment.  ETutoring is also available in a variety of subject areas.

  Student Disability Services

Students who have a documented disability are eligible for reasonable accommodations.  If you have a documented disability and need accommodations, contact us at 860.832-1957 as soon as possible.

  Placement Testing

Placement testing for Math, spanish and English is administered through TLC, call 860.832-1900 for an appointment.

 

The Writing Center , Willard Hall, Suite 115 , (860) 832-2765 Drop in or make an appointment for one on one tutoring.

  Faculty Office Hours: Check you syllabus for each class and take advantage of your professor's availability and office hours. By going to your professor's office hours, you can get help with difficult material, have questions answered, AND it is a great way for your professor to get to know you!

  Your Student Handbook and the Course Catalogue: Both of these sources are available on the CCSU website and have valuable information on campus policies, student rights and responsibilities, major requirements, and classes.

  Explore Central: : (Carroll Hall, 860.832.1614) For academic advising services for all first-time, full-time students during their first semester and a variety of career counseling services for all students and alumni of the University.

  Career Success Center : (Carroll Hall, 860.832.1615) provides career exploration opportunities and resources that engage students and alumni and assist in the development and implementation of their career plan and goals.

Your Faculty Advisor: If you have already declared a major, your advisor can help you select appropriate courses for your major and make sure you are on track to graduate. For questions regarding your faculty advisor, see the academic department for your major.

  Counseling and Wellness Center: (205 Marcus White, 860-832-1945) Receive free and confidential counseling to cope with personal issues, adjustment to college, and anxiety over school.
