Question Charts Handout

PRINTER-FRIENDLY VERSION

Question Charts are NOT easy to create.  You must first understand the patterns of questions,

the language of the field, and the way information is organized in your course.  Creating the chart

takes you beyond simply “memorizing” information and toward thinking critically about

what you are learning.  It is a much more active way to study than highlighting and re-reading

your notes and text.  Before you begin creating a chart, look closely at the information provided

in your syllabus, class notes and text.
