What is BASICS?
Brief Alcohol Screening Intervention for College Students (BASICS) is a way to reduce alcohol related risk NOW preventing alcohol dependence in the FUTURE.
How It Works
Students must complete two 60 minute sessions with a trained provider.
Students also receive computer generated personalized feedback summarizing the reviewed material.
When to Refer
Referrals for BASICS can come from a variety of sources including:
Although BASICS is primarily for students who are high-risk alcohol users, the program also gives feedback related to other drugs.
