CCSU Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in the CCSU Foundation, Inc. scholarships. In order to apply for these scholarships, you must be a matriculated student or accepted for admission as a matriculated student at CCSU. Before proceeding to the application, there is important information that you will need to know. Since you will be unable to retrieve your application once it has been submitted you should have readily available the following information:

1. Your CCSU student ID#.
    
2. High school information.
    
3. CCSU information (major, GPA and dates of attendance) as well as other college and university information (if any).
    
4. School honors, distinctions, and accomplishments.
    
5. Past employment history.
    
6. Several of the scholarships require an essay. If you are applying for one of these scholarships you should type the essay in Word and paste the document into the application in the space provided (question #6).
    
7. As part of the application procedure, two letters of recommendation must be submitted. The letters should be from faculty, academic advisors, department chairpersons, and/or deans and should discuss your potential for achievement. Before you can submit your application you will need to provide the names of the two individuals who will be writing on your behalf. Be sure to have these names before starting the application. Letters should be e-mailed to scholarships@ccsu.edu.  If e-mail is not possible, letters may be mailed to:

Applications will be accepted online until February 1. Once all applications are in, they will be forwarded to the appropriate selection committees. The majority of the awards will be selected by June, while others may take as long as September to be awarded. You will be notified by mail if you are a recipient of a scholarship.
