For more than 20 years, Central Connecticut State University's Institute of Technology and Business Development (ITBD) has been providing Connecticut's businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools to start and grow successful companies through technical training, skill development, industrial modernization, marketing, financial and networking opportunities.  Combining the expertise of a professional staff, academic experts, private sector advisors, and government resources, ITBD turns ideas into ventures, aids the growth of existing businesses, and helps Connecticut's business community succeed in today's challenging domestic and international market.

ITBD has been helping area companies since 1986.  The Institute, located at 185 Main Street in downtown New Britain (CCSU's Downtown Campus), supports Connecticut businesses and organizations by providing a full spectrum of training, technology and manufacturing process assistance, government procurement services, small business development and conferencing services.  Its cost effective business incubation services provide start-up companies a chance to grow and thrive.  Through its business training programs, ITBD provides the resources necessary to give new business start-up companies in Connecticut competitive and economic advantages.
