Success Stories

On October 10, 2008 a number of community business leaders met with Senator Christopher Dodd and Congressman John Larson (CCSU Alum) at Progress Inc. in Newington, CT to discuss the impact of the economic crisis on businesses. Fred Krol (CCSU Alum and ITBD Advisory Committee Member) and Kevin Polak, Principals in Progress Inc. hosted the meeting. Executives attending from the local business community include; Alan Daza, President of Christ Water Americas, LLC; Nikhil Vyas, President VB Technologies Corporation; Justine Moriarty, Partner Miller, Moriarty and Company, LLC; Michael Mangiafico, CEO Peter Paul Electronics; and Greg Stafstrom, President Spring Brook Ice & Fuel.

	Former ITBD Advisory Committee Member, Jason Howey was recently named President of Okay Industries in New Britain, CT by the Chairman of the Board of Okay Industries, Greg Howey. Jason was a very active Advisory Committee member. He recently elected emeritus status on the Advisory Committee. We wish him well in this new position.
