Hi.
Merlin Mann, the creator of 43folders.com, a popular American website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work, will be at CCSU on April 28, 2009. He will offer three events, all in Alumni Hall (in the student center):
- At 10am, "Broken Meetings, and How You'll Fix Them." A presentation on meeting-management that will give you easy strategies for making meetings more productive, whether you are the chair or a participant.
- At 3pm, "Future-Proofing Your Passion: The Job You Never Knew You Wanted." Find out how to find the job you *want*, rather than the job you're scared you have to take (or that your parents want you to take).
- At 5.30pm, "Inbox Zero," a talk about e-mail and time/attention-management that will give you tools for freeing yourself to do the work you really want to do--which probably isn't answering e-mail 15 times an hour!!
Mann is a sought-after speaker, with presentations at such companies as Google, Pixar, Apple, Yahoo!, and other high-profile companies (and universities!). He's also a member of the comedy podcasting group, You Look Nice Today: A Journal of Emotional Hygiene, and the creator of sites such as 5ives and kung fu grippe.
