How do I get a personal web page?

Anyone with a BlueNet Account can create, edit, update, and make available a CCSU web page.

The University has converted its main web site and several departmental web sites to the Finalsite Content Management System (CMS). There are many benefits to converting a web site to Finalsite, including a simple, web-based Word-like page editor; better control over edit rights; and built-in photo and multimedia capabilities.

Academic Faculty can request a personal web page by contacting the Instructional Design and Technology Resource Center, Willard Hall Room 004, 860-832-2081, idtrc@ccsu.edu.

Administrative Faculty and Staff and can request a personal web page by contacting the Office of Marketing and Communication, Maria Sanford Hall Room 102, 860-832-1728, webmaster@ccsu.edu.

Students are automatically provided web page space – there is a folder in your M: drive with the name WWW, which contains your default home page. For more information, visit http://www.ccsu.edu/its/Academic/Reference/StudentWebPages.htm.

How do I gain access to a departmental web site or web page for editing?

Finalsite pages - Contact the Office of Marketing and Communication, Maria Sanford Hall Room 102, 860-832-1728, webmaster@ccsu.edu to request access to edit a departmental web site.

Campus-hosted CCSU Web Sites - Have your department head (Dean, Chair, etc.) send an e-mail request to the IT Help Desk at techsupport@ccsu.edu. Make sure they include exactly what web site you want access to. For example:

I am Mary Robinson, Dean of Political Science, and I authorize John Smith (BlueNet Account: SmithJ) to have access to the Political Science web site at www.ccsu.edu/polisci.
Thank you.
