IT Self-Help: Connecting to the CCSU-SECURE Wireless Network
CCSU-SECURE is an encrypted wireless networkthat provides you with encrypted (i.e. more secure) access to all information as well as provides the same access to netshares and printers as the wired network.
**Important** You will need to install the Clean Access NAC Agent on your Windows computer in order to access the wireless network. For more information on Clean Access and to view the installation guide, click here.
Windows and Mac Configuration
Note: Before configuring CCSU-SECURE on a Mac, you may need to enable the Java applet plug-in by going to Utilities/Java Preferences and checking the box "Enable applet plug-in and Web Start applications."
- Connect to the Student wireless network.
- Log in to the wireless network you selected using your BlueNet account username and password:
- If you are on a Windows PC, log in to Clean Access NAC Agent. For more information on Clean Access and to view the installation guide, click here.
- If you are on a Mac (you do not need to install the Clean Access NAC Agent), open your web browser and log in to the wireless network authentication page.
- Open your web browser and navigate to http://gosecure.ccsu.edu.
- Click on the check box to accept the terms of use, then click on Start.

- At the Security Information dialog box:
- On Windows, click the check box to always trust content from the publisher, then click on Run.

- On Mac, click the Allow button.

- At the Welcome Screen, enter your BlueNet Account username and password. If you are on a Windows computer, enter ccsu_comp_srv (faculty/staff) or ccsu_aca_comp (student) in the domain field. Click on Continue.

- If you are on a Mac, you may be prompted to enter the Administrator username and password. Enter the local administrator username and password for your computer and click on OK.

- If you are on a Mac, you also be prompted to verify the security certificate. Click on Continue to verify it.
- The application will proceed to configure your computer for CCSU-SECURE. When configuration is complete, you will receive the "Successfully connected" message. Click on Done.

- Your wireless connection will switch to CCSU-SECURE automatically. On a Windows PC, you will be prompted to log back into the Clean Access NAC Agent.
You may now use nework resources as if you were connected to the wired network. To view your e-mail, simply open the full version of Outlook. Click here for instructions on connecting to a network printer. Click here for instructions on connecting to your M: drive.
Mobile Devices
You may use CCSU-SECURE on mobile devices such as smartphones (iPhone, Windows, or Android-based) and tablet devices (iPad, Windows or Android-based). Configuration steps vary for each device, however here are the basic steps to get started:
- Connect to the Student wireless network.
- Log in to the wireless network you selected using your BlueNet account username and password.
- Open your mobile web browser and navigate to http://gosecure.ccsu.edu.
- Accept the terms of use, then follow the on-screen instructions to configure your device to connect to CCSU-SECURE.
