Faculty and Staff may synchronize an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad with the CCSU Exchange server. The IT department will provide limited support to assist you with connecting to the Exchange server. If you need further assistance with your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, we recommend that you visit the Apple Store.

Students: Your My.CCSU e-mail account is managed by Microsoft's Live@edu system. Please visit http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc325690.aspx and follow the instructions located under Mobile Phones to set up your iPhone,iPod Touch, or iPad).

Instructions for faculty and staff e-mail access on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad:

Important Information about Your Password: Every time you change your BlueNet Account password, you will need to return to the settings for your CCSU e-mail account on your device and change your password there as well. Failure to do this may lock you out of your account.

Recommended Setting for Retrieving Mail: It is recommended that you set your device up to "fetch" new e-mail manually, rather than "push" e-mail to your device. When your e-mail is set to "fetch" new e-mail, your device checks for new mail only when you access the Mail app. This means that it is not constantly checking the mail server for new mail and therefore uses less battery power. To set up your device to "fetch" new e-mail:

  1. From the Home screen, select Settings.
  2. Select Mail, Contact, Calendars
  3. Select Fetch New Data
    fetch1

  4. Toggle the Push option to Off and select Manually under the Fetch section
    fetch2

  5. Scroll down and select Advanced
    fetch3

  6. Select your CCSU Exchange e-mail account and verify that it is set to Fetch
    fetch4
