Microsoft Office 365 for Education is Here!!!
Office 365 for education includes email, instant messaging, group video and voice chat, and online document viewing and editing. With Office 365, students can access the same great tools that businesses around the world use every day including:
Email and calendars:
Cloud-based email and calendar powered by Microsoft Exchange Online; 25GB storage per user
Office Web Apps:
Create and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents using a web browser. To access Office 365 Web Applications, log in to your My.CCSU e-mail account and click on the SkyDrive tab.
Online meetings with audio and video, desktop sharing, and virtual whiteboard; excellent for distance learning.
Now Available! Share files and documents with classmates; create team, study group, or club sites
With Office 365, you will now have two separate accounts:
Office 365 account - allows access to your school email.
Continue to use Outlook Live to view and send email from your school account, sign in at http://my.ccsu.edu. You will use your current email address and password (firstname.lastname@example.org) to log in. This account will also be used for file sharing, instant messaging, and online meetings. You will continue to reset your password for this account using the CCSU Accounts Management link from CentralPipeline.
Personal Microsoft account - allows access to Messenger, and other Microsoft services.
Use the same email username and password to access this account. Please be aware of the fact that CCSU does not administer this account. As a result, you must use: https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx to reset the password for your personal account after the upgrade.
Other important information you should know:
- If you use Internet Explorer 7 or earlier, you will need to upgrade to a newer version of Internet Explorer.
- CCSU administers your Office 365 account. CCSU does not administer your personal Microsoft account.
- You will be able to reset you’re My.CCSU student email (Office 365) account password via the CCSU Accounts Management link from CentralPipeline.
- If you have a problem with your email access, contact the CCSU Help Desk at (860)832-1720.
