The finance program prepares graduates for managerial careers and advanced study in finance. Financial professionals evaluate all business and financial risks and returns in business decisions. Using economic theory and the techniques of accounting and statistics, financial managers direct funds acquisition, funds management, and investment. Graduates may pursue careers in corporate financial management, banking, insurance, investments, and government.

The greatest number of job opportunities are in management of industrial, retail and service firms, as well as government and nonprofit organizations.
Money and Capital Markets
Banks, insurance companies and investment institutions employ finance graduates as loan officers, managers, and security and portfolio analysts.
Brokerage firms, banks, mutual funds and insurance companies employ graduates in sales, securities analysis and portfolio management.
A recent survey of our graduates shows that:
- Two-thirds found their first jobs in Finance;
- Two-thirds are currently working in the field;
- Two-thirds go on for advanced degrees;
- Many alums hold professional certifications: CFA, JD, CPA, securities licenses, etc.
