Welcome New Blue Devils! We are very excited that you have decided to join the CCSU campus community and hope you will find the information provided, useful to you.
This website is designed to offer you the necessary tools to ease your transition to college life at CCSU and to assist you in preparing for our Freshmen Orientation Program. A staff of enthusiastic student leaders is already preparing for your arrival on campus this summer!
All first-year (freshmen) students must be confirmed to attend Freshmen Orientation. If you have not yet confirmed with CCSU, but have been accepted by our Admissions Office, please process your Admissions Confirmation Deposit as follows:
Instructions for Admissions Confirmation Deposit Payments via Web by credit card or eCheck:
Go to Bursar’s website at http://www.bursar.ccsu.edu.
Select the "Deposits/Payments" link from the top menu (in red).
Select Deposit payments for Admissions and Housing, under Guest Payments and/or Payment of Deposits (the direct link is https://ssb.ccsu.edu/pls/ssb_cPROD/pc_web_quikpay.p_depositgpay).
Enter 8-digit Student ID, Last Name, First Name, DOB (MM/DD/YYYY Format), Term of deposit payment, and Deposit Type.
If you get an error message that states you are ineligible to pay the deposit, please call the Admissions Office at 860-832-2293.
Confirmed first-year students will be receiving Welcome Packets from CCSU shortly after being confirmed by the University. Your welcome packet contains important information on getting your academic career at CCSU started, including the Student Checklist which will be very helpful to you.
You will receive an email sent to your personal email account to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor and to register for classes. You will also need to activate both your Blue Net Account and your CCSU email account. If you should experience any issues activating them, our IT Department will be happy to assist you. They can be reached at 860-832-1720.
Once you’ve registered for classes, you will receive an email to your CCSU email account with a link to choose a New Student Orientation date. If you do not receive an email with the link to choose a New Student Orientation date, please call the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs at (860) 832-1601.
During Orientation we've planned activities from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm that begin in the Student Center. There are also optional tours of campus and tours of the residence halls at the end of the day that conclude at 3 pm. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend Orientation with students.
Our goal is to provide you with the resources you need to succeed academically and personally, and to find your place in the CCSU community. Please use this Orientation website to find answers to your questions as you prepare to matriculate for the semester. Your BlueNet Account is essential for access to class registration, payment of college costs, ability to view your grades, your unofficial transcript, and perform your DegreeWorks audit to make sure you are on track with classes. Your email will be essential to receive information from campus staff, faculty and others. To activate your BlueNet Account, you will need to enter your student ID, provided by Admissions which is also the User Banner ID and your date of birth. If you should experience any issues, our IT Department will be happy to assist you. They can be reached at 860-832-1720.
If you are seeking financial aid, you will need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Instructions on completing the FAFSA can be found here. The FAFSA must be completed each year while attending, if you continue to seek financial aid. The Financial Aid Office can be reached at 860-832-2200 and is located in Davidson Hall, Room 221.
Our nine residence halls offer a comfortable, safe place to live and learn. You'll be within easy walking distance to dining halls, classrooms, and on-campus entertainment. You'll have access to free Wi-Fi, cable TV, four fitness centers, game rooms, and study lounges. Even better, you'll quickly make new friends and have the support you need to succeed in college.
All full-time and part-time students are required to submit a completed Connecticut University Student Health Services Form prior to July 15th for the fall semester or prior to December 15 for the spring semester. Please contact Student Wellness Services - Health with any questions.

First Day of Classes
First-Year/Freshman Residential Students move in on Tuesday, January 16 (check your CCSU email account for specific instructions regarding move in times from Residence Life).
Both First Year Residential and Commuter Students should attend one of two mandatory New Student Orientation programs. The Orientation programs will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 and Monday, January 8, 2018.
Classes begin on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
