Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1 c butter
3/4 c dark brown sugar
3/4 c white sugar
1 t vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 1/2 c white flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t cinnamon
2 c chocolate chips

Protocol

  1. Cream together butter and sugars.  Mix in vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time (no I don't know why, just do what you're told).
  2. Stir flour, baking powder, and cinnamon together. Add to butter/sugar/egg mixture and stir to mix evenly. The batter should be fairly stiff.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  4. Drop teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and bake about 7 minutes at 3750F.
  5. Cool and bring several to me for final inspection.
