While we feel we offer a quality education at a competitive price, we realize that financial issues can be a burden for many families. Thus we have developed a good relationship with many tourism employers in the area for those students seeking part-time employment. At CCSU we also believe that work experience in the tourism industry is essential to your long-term success. Tourism businesses and organizations throughout the state offer a number of part-time and summer employment opportunities with flexible schedules designed to meet the needs of college students. Work experience can help you decide which segment of the tourism industry is right for you. The range of employment opportunities in tourism is much more diverse than it was only 5 years ago. Previous experience will also help you land an internship that can lead to fulltime employment.

Please check back form time to time for links and postings regarding full and part-time positions and internships. Please contact Dr. Dornan, Dr. Benfield or any other member of the staff if you need any additional information or advice concerning this important part of your education.

In addition to employment opportunities, we encourage our students to apply for one of the many scholarships that are available to Tourism and Hospitality students at CCSU. Many of our students have won scholarship awards that range from $500 to $1500. CCSU has also been recently named the recipient of the National Tourism Association’s Annual Scholarship for the next five years. This means that only CCSU students will be eligible for this $1500 award each year.

Please check the links above regularly for updates regarding employment opportunities, internships positions, and scholarship posting and deadlines.
