Collection of the Month

For our latest collection of the month, the VHP has selected Robert John Weisel. Mr. Weisel served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and was a Captain (O-3). He served time in Da Nang, Chu Lai and Ky Ha, Vietnam. He continued to serve his fellow soldiers by volunteering his time to collect the oral histories of veterans for the VHP here at CCSU. Although he passed away this past November he lives on through his own oral history and those he collected. By accessing our search engine and typing Weisel into the last name field, you can listen to his interview as well as view his materials.

To our interviewed veterans and friends of VHP, have you ever wondered what happens to your interview and collection materials? Click HERE to find out! Every Veterans Day and Memorial Day, the CCSU VHP publishes a newsletter, and every month, we highlight a veteran's collection from our database.

Please excuse our mess while we are improving our VHP site. We recently changed internet providers and as a result we have to fix the links on every veteran's page manually. We are working diligently to get each veteran's page working correctly. We hope to have the collections complete and running smoothly by mid-July. Thank you for your patience.
