The School of Education and Professional Studies (SEPS) has a long history of training educators and human service professionals, beginning with the establishment of the New Britain Normal School—CT's first teacher training institution—in 1849. Today, SEPS is recognized as a leader in both education and other human service fields, including nursing, counseling, and social work.
